You totally nailed her–head on!!! Especially the Sasser mentality!!! LOL!!! Missing Grandma a lot. Thanks for writing this–it was a bright spot in my night. PS-remember the pursed-lip scowl? The one that would stop you dead in your tracks and make you start apologizing on the spot?!

Dear Mr. PIERPONT~
Being a family historian as well of my own family, I very much enjoyed hearing your account, which includes the name of Leroy BECKWITH, who is most likely the same man who is cousin to my husband, born in WYOMING. (I’m not sure if you met Leroy before or during your years in the military, perhaps you, too were born in the small town of Basin?) Tonight, I went online to see if Leroy had an email, which is how I happened across your web page, with Leroy’s name highlighted.

If you are still in contact with Leroy, then you know his walk with Christ is also many years now strong; having also served with MMAP, (Mobile Missionary Assistance Program) doing building and construction projects with other retirees; which he and his wife were part of for 9 years. He also wrote a book about their experiences serving in that.

Thank You for the wonderful account. Isn’t it amazing looking back on how the LORD was working, and both of you (and Leroy) continue to serve Christ. Today in the mail my husband and I received a CD audio recording of a sermon Leroy did on June 8, 2008 as a guest speaker at his childhood church.

God’s Blessings as You continue to write and to shine forth Christ in these real life accounts.
